Magic vs Raptors: What Didn't Work

The Magic let an undermanned Toronto team playing without Chris Bosh hang with them for most of the night before they finally took over in the fourth period, en route to their 102-87 victory. Here are a few things that the Magic could have done better.
1. Glass work-
The Magic were outrebounded by the Raptors, who were playing without their leading rebounder
Chris Bosh
. Toronto controlled the glass, 47-41, and allowed Orlando just 2 offensive rebounds.
2.
Carlos Arroyo
on D-
Arroyo was schooled mercilessly by the Toronto point guards, as
T.J. Ford
scored 20 points off the bench, and
Jose Calderon
added 14, mostly while being guarded by Arroyo.
Keyon Dooling
needs to get healthy quickly if the Magic are going to be able to compete with some of the better teams in the league.
3. Free throw shooting-
Orlando shot 70% from the free throw line as they hit on 14 out of 20 shots. 70% isn’t horrible, but it won’t get it done against an elite opponent.
4. Bench play-
The Magic didn’t receive much from their bench on this evening as the Toronto reserves outscored Orlando, 40-22.
5. Another tough night by Evans-
Maurice Evans
struggled on both ends of the court as he shot just 1-7 from the field (0-4 from behind the three point line) for just 2 points. Evans was schooled repeatedly by Raptors guard
Anthony Parker
, who scored 17 points in the first half.
