The Magic coasted to a 118-92 victory over the hapless New York Knicks Saturday night, on Latin Night at the Amway Arena. Orlando dominated the game from the second quarter on, as they were playing without Jameer Nelson and Keyon Dooling, and blew out New York even though they didn’t play their best ball.
1.
Dwight Howard
was dominant-
Howard finished with 26 points, 22 rebounds, and two blocks, as he dominated Eddie Curry and
David Lee
. Howard made it look easy.
2. Turkoglu filled out the stat sheet-
Turkoglu played a fine all-around game as he scored 25 points, dished out 10 assists, and grabbed 8 rebounds. The Knicks had no answer for any of the Magic frontcourt, especially Turk.
3. Good offensive display-
New York looked disinterested on the defensive end, and the Magic took advantage of that as they went over 30 points twice and shot nearly 52% from the field.
4. Defense from the second quarter on-
After a sluggish start on defense for Orlando in which they allowed 29 first quarter points, the Magic tightened the screws on New York and allowed just 63 points through three quarters, and held New York to just over 40% shooting from the field.
5. Rebounding-
Orlando was dominant on the glass against a New York team that appeared to be just playing out the string. The Magic grabbed 54 rebounds to New York’s 37.

Carlos Arroyo
-
Arroyo was forced to log heavy minutes with
Jameer Nelson
and
Keyon Dooling
out of action, and Arroyo did a fine job. Carlos finished with 13 points and 8 assists to delight the Latin Night crowd.
